I have discovered a passion for walking, For my permitted period of daily exercise, I go out for 45 mins to an hour most days. I wear a Fitbit and challenge myself to reach the magical 10,000 steps per day. Sometimes I reach it, and sometimes I don’t!
Walking has health benefits. These include:
- Improving our cardiovascular system
- Helping with weight loss
- Strengthening our bones
- Reducing blood pressure
Also, walking helps to brighten our mood. I feel this is very important at this strange and difficult time. Many people are experiencing difficulty with their mental health, so if something as simple as getting out for a walk can help, then let’s embrace it.
