What to expect from Nutritional Therapy
During the initial consultation, I ask patients a series of questions to understand their health history, their current symptoms, diet and lifestyle. We then define the specific goals patients want to focus on. At the end of the consultation, I provide each patient with a personal plan which includes food to introduce into the existing diet to support particular issues, supplements if appropriate and lifestyle advice. Functional testing is also discussed if necessary.
The follow up consultation can take place a couple of weeks after the initial appointment or at a later stage depending on the health concerns.
“I truly believe that food can be nourishing and healing. Originally from France, I am a real foodie and I was lucky to grow up eating fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. My passion is to inspire families about healthy cooking with real taste and provide them with the knowledge and the tools to look after their own health.”
What is Mind Body Nutrition?
Originated by Marc David, Founder of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, Mind Body Nutrition goes far beyond classical nutrition by focusing on the fascinating connections between brain, body, and behaviour. Simply put, what we eat is only half of the story of good nutrition. The other half is who we are as eaters. Mind Body Nutrition reveals how stress physiology, the relaxation response, breathing, awareness, pleasure, meal timing, and much more, profoundly influence digestion and calorie burning. And it offers practical and results-oriented strategies for the most commonly seen eating challenges and health issues of our times.
